September 16, 2012 Jim Armstrong passed away of suicide. Along with all of the other emotions and difficulties around a loved one’s passing, Mr. Armstrong’s sons had to financially shoulder the responsibility of paying for their father’s funeral. This led to debt that would have to be paid back and in turn reopen wounds every time the payment came due. While we hate that this tragedy occurred, this planted the seed for The Headstrong Coalition and its mission to

assist families financially to help with the funeral expenses of their loved one. While the foundation may not be able to fully cover those expenses, we hope that it lessens the burden on the family and helps provide some sense of closure to those left behind. This is a check that we never want to write but The HeadStrong Coalition is humbled to be able to provide some type of positive assistance in one of the hardest times a family can go through.
